Shah Jahan's Song1.jpg
  How much can one soul love another?

Purest white inlaid with care,
God and Nature recorded there;
the hand of man in art and script
raising up a song so clear and bright
the world can hear its melody
both day and night.

Each petal, leaf and precious bud
sings a note as sweet as dawn
and yet within this gentle song
the tear of sunset can be heard.
As night's cloak hides the warming sun
Jahan's song is the great farewell
created for his beloved.
