Remembering

Remembering is an odd thing,
Depending how far
You are willing to go.

Remembering surprises you and
Jolts you into an awareness
Of past existences,

Forcing you to see yourself
As a bird, insect or an animal,
Vanishing and then re-emerging,

Flying over a mountain,
Hovering over a flower,
Or leaping at a prey.

Remembering takes you
Beyond the senses
Into a world you've never been before.
