Rolling Fog

Again I awaken in the night
As if tossed by waves
Into rolling fog..
I open my eyes.

This room, its blinds down
Lay before me
Arrayed in night colors
illuminated by a
single candle.

I awaited sleep to over take me
Once more..
Invite me back to surrender
where nothing is prepared.

His eyes visit my soul
Where a flickering of white
turned into the swirling of blue.

Faint notes of sandalwood
Remind me of his touch
Rocking me into the edges
of the morning light.
