Ukiah

Soaring in deep space, swiftly
Flutter to the earth
Wings of dream, a little bird

Planet bound with single star
Pyrrhic, strong and fall
Like leaves, withered path and sun

Ukiah beneath the clouds
Sings with little bird
Earth trembles, born fresh with dew

And Ukiah waits, waits long
Blind flash, day commence
Plod and slumber lest of change
