O you wayfarer, O you lover
Your unfulfilled love will consummate
Only in separation.
Come, come one and all
Join in this rhapsody of devastation.
In a frenzy
The hot winds raise a cyclone
The insane god of destruction blows his bugle
Fear stalks the land
And the sky is filled
With the sound of a raging storm.
In this wild dance
When everything is broken and torn
When the rhythm goes awry
Cutting all bonds
Then, only then
The love's holy fire will burn
In the minds of those who have given up everything
And are eager for freedom.
O you wayfarer, O you lover
When all your hopes are blown away and burnt
Then, only then
He who is beyond your expectation
Will stand before you
Filling all your world
And silently talk to you in silent songs.
So come, come one and all
Join in this rhapsody of devastation.

Translation of the devotional song ' Ore pathik, ore premik/bicchede tor khanda milon purna hobe ' by Rabindranath Tagore. The original with its swaralipi or notation is at http://www.rabindra-rachanabali.nltr.org/node/4703
