  Many a night
thoughts like incorrigible creepers
swirl my insides
to take me back in time.

Unimagined, unprepared
a deed done, seed sown
in gay abandon
then got unwelcome.

The whirlwind had to stop
now to abort, to escape
another individual,
another life beside you.

Little did I think then
that the embers will
remain, burning you,
renewing the guilt.
