The Castle of Silence

  The solid walls stand testimony,
of the sweat and blood used to cement,
Nature has put them to such agony,
Yet they stand silently…..
…..making no statement.

Nothing here exists or prevails,
Nor do you hear laughter or wails,
Silence is what abounds here,
No living soul alights anywhere near.

Life has come to such a stage,
a body which is, but a cage,
a foolish façade stands protecting,
a purposeless life with empty feelings.
