Could Love Be True

  I've traveled this road before,
Through wasteland of humanity.
To victory shared,
Mountains traversed.
Joy and sad experiences
Strengthen me.
Captivated by wit and charm,
Enchant and delight,
Long to be in cyber arms.
Could love be true,
In a place seen by none.
Only in the mind.
I tremble at the thought.
Oh, aching heart,
Why feel the sting
Of cupid's arrow,
So painfully sweet.
