Bright faces and elegant looks,
Flocked the campus in funny moods.
Gorgeous dresses and smart overview,
truly emanating a festive hue.
Some are confidant some are over,
few shaky ones, looking for a good cover.
Hustle Bustle of students running to and fro,
Setting an ideal stage for a Valentine's day show.

Most of them carrying it unseen,
Cards and roses trying to convey the thoughts within.
Expectantly and Impatiently waiting for a starter,
None of them ready to become the initiator.

Out of the blue, out came a tall lanky fellow,
Adjusting his hair, boldly marched towards the girl with a fair glow.
Rose was delivered, but it was White,
Expressing just Friendship, not Love at first sight.
This spark was enough to lit the fire;
Everyone started expressing their heart's innermost desire.
Few were white, but mostly Red,
Conveying the feeling right away, which could not be said.
A varied outburst of feeling can be observed at one sight,
Some were jubilant, few surprised.

Experienced Romeos guiding their juniors,
Juliet's were guarding their upcoming heirs.
On the whole it was very smooth,
till there were no roses left in the booth.

A unique way of expressing your feeling,
For what may lead to a new beginning.
settle your differences without argument,
An exchange of Rose breaking a deadlock end.

Although it appears easy, is it really is?
Roses and cards fulfilling your long cherished wish.
This fast track World has let us little option,
provided us these two means to give vent to our emotion.
Acceptance and Rejection, an integral part of this day,
It ends in a happy note, keeping hard feelings at bay.
