Deception

I wish you knew
as I mellowed
my smile sheltered
on my face a deception.

You let me roam
on high skies;
I burnt my wings
in feverish ambitions.

I nose-dived to earth
a few times '
landing on
scaffolding of your trust.

Do bring me back
in the focus
of your study, your research.

Look for artifacts -
restore me,
guard me again
as your precious trophy.
