Something Never Changes

Gulmohar tree, standing there has grayed a bit…
the hustle in the street has increased too...

Things have changed a lot..
they keep on changing...
yet there is something which it seems has not changed..
over the years...

Those gone by years.. some unforgettable faces...
still cause a stiffness in the heart...

Those moments of time have frozen deep inside..
like the stale ice...solid.. opaque..

Seasons roam around…. they come and go..
but
that chilliness of the winter breeze is still the same..
it makes me shiver...

There's something..
which has refused to move in synch with time...

Something has remained standstill..
probably, those nostalgic days...
those moments....

Those innocent carefree faces...
their freshness still lingers on...
they'll forever.....I suppose

because.

Something never changes...
