Yo Yo Game

All this could be described in some dated clich'
and you in your music-box innocence
wouldn't have noticed

This yo-yo game
that plays out against the ominous darkness
of some uncharted fantasy

How delightful this must look from outside
like a garland of melodies intertwined
around husbands and wives

We find ourselves staggered between
suspense chords in some silent movie
with ragtime and accordion waltzes

And Sex, conspicuously absent
substituted with engagingly light and delicate touches
composing this new meaning of love
