  The medical fraternity
Is convinced of it's continuity.
But health sciences of such kind,
came and went over the centuries,
lost in the sands of time,
then resurfaced but displaced from the limelight.

The wisdom learnt is never misplaced though.

With time technology offers more
and life as we envisioned it becomes brighter
when we think outside the box.

Progress happens when we put our ego's in second place,
grasping a deeper understanding of the human form,
and then diagnosing, treating and restoring health.

The healer of yesteryear was gifted,
to see the unseen.

Now it's evidence based.

The healer is displaced by a technocrat,
moving a stethoscope, reading reports, analyzing data.

Have we become automatons?
