The Old Lady's Plea

I need you dear to patiently listen to me
Although I am just an old and lonely lady.
Of course, I do have family living around me
But none has time for me, a poor old lady
They are too busy making money
To buy the good things in life, honey
They own fancy cars and Spanish guitars
Now they want to reach out for the stars
I seem to be cramping their life style
I must leave and go away for a while
Then perhaps they may just realize
That their attitude is cruel and unwise
If they do not, I will no effort spare
To find another home where people care
While they carry on blissfully unaware
Hopefully I will be more at ease
Among more caring people, less difficult to please.
