The Poison Fruit

  Whether you succeed or fail
You have to consume the poison fruit
How the poison tree you should fell ?
Oh ! with you, it shares its root !

It has loose soil at its root
Termites are eating away its soul
Oh ! its dried up body will fall at its own foot
May be the very seed has a role !
Oh ! skyward branches it may spread
The pretentious blue is but to dread

Like creeper does it clutch your trunk
As if it loves so well
Oh ! how rapt in embrace is it drunk
Verily sipping your sap does it dwell

However sweet may be its embrace
The poison-fruit will leave you with no trace
