Spent He and She a year or two,
In frictions involved, two times twenty too.

Spent He and Me, two plus twenty years together,
Maintained a distance, two miles between each other.

Inhaled the exhilaration of first fragrance, of first blossom,
Safe guarded from dispersing, it's fresh fragrance like leaves in Autumn.

Every limits crossed, over and over again.
Halted at every edge; boarded the next train.

Finally saturated; reasons caused them to part.
Weren't destined for each other; stayed apart.

Had lost the way, that met the end.
Found the way; remained as friends.

Him for his Lady, far or wide, knows not destiny; to unite.
In life of her Man, oceans across, destined I; seemed quite right.

Bond in commitment, today together, we stay.
With memories filled with past, sharing each day.
