Far Away, Yet I Feel You

My dear, sweetheart, evening star
I have travelled so much far;
Yet I find you quite so near
frolicking in my heart right here

At the edge of ocean where I stood
The waves mirrored your buoyant mood,
The sea breeze that whispers in my ear
Reminds me of our secrets dear

Once it's hot and makes me sweat
Then it's rainy, cold and wet,
The weather, brings me your memories
Of your variegated qualities

You may ask, "Don’t you miss me dear"?
"Not so quite", For I see you so clear
Within my mind's eye where forever,
