Let them go who want to go
But please you don’t leave
I am yet to finish my rainy day’s song.
All have shut their doors
The night is silent and deep
Sleepless is the restless wind
On the trees
The leaves are fluttering like scarves
If the lamp goes out let it go
In the darkness please give me your touch
Keeping beats with the song I sing
In your clapping hands
Let your bangles ring
As the falling rains
Sing on an overflowing stream.

Translation of the rainy day song - Jete dao gelo jara - by Rabindranath Tagore. Best recording of this song is by Debabrata Biswas. The original with its swaralipi or notation is at http://www.rabindra-rachanabali.nltr.org/node/5011.
