Poetry must be banned for its atrocity
Of representing sadness, the mono no aware of life,

It must be exorcised for its
Remembrances, fantasies and masochisms,

It must be chastised for collecting hermeneutic shadows
In the illusive skin of memory,

It must be told to leave out the sordid details
Of our persecutions and executions,

It must not usurp the narrow vision of the sciences,
Not take over the clanging causality of history,

It must not imitate the delirium of psychology
Nor the abstract discourse of anthropology,

But be prophetic like the Delphic Oracle
Stinging like a hymenopterous insect.
