My Heart

My heart seeks, my heart cries,
In forlorn nights it moans, it sighs,
Yet from the ashes of my heart I rise
Like a phoenix I ascend up in the skies.

My heart feels, my heart aches,
In sheer despair my heart breaks,
From the spell it suddenly wakes,
And into the harsh reality it wrecks.

My heart throbs, my heart beats,
It accepts all sorts of defeats,
All the rejection it gladly greets,
Into thousand pieces it splits.

My heart yearns, my heart dips
Into the warmth of love it slips,
All the memories it secretly keeps.
And in an endless wait it weeps.
