People around
Yet I’m alone
I want to go home

Voices loud
Chatter everywhere
Friends and loved ones amongst the crowd
Yet I feel bare

People around
Yet I’m alone

Making a difference, people touched
One act caused a ripple along
So many souls timely fed
Yet I feel I don’t belong

People around
Yet I’m alone
I want to go home
I want to go home

The restlessness, the confusion
The frustration and loneliness
Feeling all this, not knowing the reason
A certain aloneness, a strange emptiness

People around
Yet I’m alone
I want to go home
I want to go home

“Why have You put me here?
What am I supposed to do?
If I’m feeling this way,
Shouldn’t You feel it too?”

So show me the path, You owe it to me
Send love, peace and a song
Send those who know what it is to BE
Coz I want to belong
