Dream Weaver

  In a distant land,
of sun and desert sand,
I toil at the loom
of the firmament and weave
an enchanting dream for you,
on the fabric of skies multi-hued
knitting with numerous needles
of glittering gold,
sparkling threads of silvery stars
and silky sequins of moonlight'

Gently,
I shall rest your jasmine-adorned head
on the cushion of feathery clouds
and let all your qualms
melt in the darkness of night.
I shall chase the nightmares
far away from your magical dream-world.
Shut your drowsy sleep-laden eyelids
and pour our enthralling dream
in the aqua-marine cups of your eyes.

Like a blowing breeze,
I shall caress your poetic name
with my whispering lips
while you recite our love poems aloud -
and let them reverberate
in the wide expanse of mind's eye
till your dreams turn into veracity!

Now,
Let me wear the cloak of invisibility
and tip-toe to another distant land -
where a throbbing heart
waits for me
to weave another
enchanting dream'
