Theme: Humanity

A Shining for Mankind

At first it didn't infiltrate the sight,
This overgrown parkland's top-heavy sway
Brandishing swathes of rising flowers, away
According to the wind's whim, always right,
Imbuing all with its spirit of flight,
Which tethered gives the appearance of play
And furnishes the expression of day,
Which the bright sunshine lifts to sheer delight
In human eyes that pass this way: pass on,
And in the heaving town community
Witness the same strong motions, those of mind,
Always right, tethered play, the day's expression;
Its sunshine, kindness, making all to see
A sheer delight: a shining for mankind.
