Where I Have Been

I can hear the branches bustling with the wind
And see the leaves tango nearby.
At a distance, my mind frays and time is lost.
My dreams blur at my feet and fall indistinct.
But beyond the clustered hours and stacked mayhem,
The moon leans over my slumbered spirit,
Shines its fragrance upon me…
To wake me from the night I have made
And to bring me into the Dawn I was.
