Into Some Odes

  This longing for your love
Gulps me every day and drives me nuts,
It forgets the rules of the world
And all the’ ifs’ and’ buts’.

This longing for your love
Blots me with ineradicable stain,
I am soaked to the skin
In blame’s ceaseless rain.

This longing for your love
Burns my heart into ashes,
Still you remain as tear drops
Clinging to my eyelashes.

This longing for your love
Swathes my soul with unfulfilled wishes,
It keeps knocking my fidgety mind
And all the yen it unleashes.

This longing for your love
Wounds me hard with a thousand swords,
And in restlessness my pen keeps running
To give it a shape into some odes.
