Rake the snow,
rake the coal,
rake those memories
that grew over the year
in the closed corridors of life,
clean the house of desire
bring in fresh wood from the wild
but do not go home yet
light the fire in the wilderness
and commune with the stars
barbecue with the sojourners
those lonely travelers
fearing for your life
but happy that for once
you escaped the cloisters,
the sick rush, the divided cravings
of a welfare society,
of an enlightened world,
and when you are ready to return
to the world left behind
you realize you are lost.
