Colors of this World

I see colors when walking down this street,
There have been yellow and red and green.
An envy for a neighbor is green in color,
A faithless act is yellow in color.
An aggressive thought so red and frightening.

I do see colors positive and peaceful too.
A blue, blue hill ahead heralding,
Peaceful march of the coming beautiful summer.
A rainy cloud with pregnant grey is the onset of monsoon,
And the orange red of the sun is,
A day when the soul is searched for cobwebs and cleaned.

So while you are away I have these colors
To brush this world with my thoughts
So pure a canvas and so wide a theme.
