The yellow breasted black love bird chirped invitingly
Oh! My wondrous paramour
Why do you keep me longing
To hear your heart beat
Aren’t you coming?

Answer my call
Don’t look startled
Don’t look astonished
Look! Look! I am before you
The aroma and yellowness
Of the Champak bewilders you
Look! Look!
I am here!

I am your yellow breasted black love bird
The Champak enfolds itself in its green leaf
You are so intoxicated
Can’t you make out the difference?
Oh! Love! Blind not our love
Hold me as never before
Oh! I feel so complete and calm!
Thank you! Thank you! So much.
