Theme: Valentine

What to Name

The other day by mistake

I strayed into a jungle of flowers,

wild flowers, that too,

except a few

hardly I could recognize any,

painted on the meadows in every hue

Daisy, the violets, water lilies,

forget-me-nots and many more.

Among a host of daffodils on the lakeside

a lonely Wordsworth I could find,

after a small sip an Omar Khayyam
I came across
holding a rose

and there was a Kalidas in all anxiety

waiting for the rain clouds to deliver

a basketful of jui, jai, kadamba and malti

Not to be left behind

I picked up a jasmine,

shall I rename it

my sweet Valentine...!
