We really know how to befriend you dear teacher
Your stern composure breathes admiration
Out of the blue you come up to one of us dear teacher
Taken aback we shudder
Yet your smile straight away calms our fear
All ears we eavesdrop the one you stop to talk to
Your concern is just not us in school
You are acquainted with each one of us and our family
Your alertness knows no bounds
You know when and why we miss out
Everready to listen to our anguish
And find ways to set us back on our toes
We sure will remember you dear teacher all our lives
