A Tragic End to Life

Drop by drop
It froze on the window pane
No it was not rain
It was the blood from a slit wrist
The victim rested there
While he bled to death in the cold
Sub-zero temperatures
No heating and not much food
He could take it no more

Abandoned by friends and family
No one wanted the responsibility
Of taking care of a sick old man
They preferred to ignore his plight
And deliberately kept him out of sight
So that he did not cramp their lifestyle
They did not even visit him once in a while
When they found out about his sad end
To the funeral parlour a wreath was
All that they did finally send

Comment The final end of life of an old orphan is well depicted here!
