Pepper-and-Salt

On the canvas of time
we are moments,
and in space
we are dots —
a pattern of pepper-and-salt...

If we connect
the dots and the moments
we can create
flowers and butterflies,
rivers and lakes,
deers and snakes...

We can harbour happiness
or be scenes of tragic shipwrecks!

We can be sweet melodies
of a cuckoo in spring,
paint smiles on the faces of the poor,
and wipe tears of one in grief
to add spice to life...
