What if I ?

What if I say “You are the one,
The ‘dream man’, the ‘special someone’,
Who I had been waiting for so long,
In loving you there’s nothing wrong!”
What if I believe that love has no rules,
With a heart’s joy and peace it spools,
It ignores the silly fences of age,
It forgets petty fights, egos and rage!
What if I confess to you my soul’s whisper,
And tell you, “You are my life’s evening star,
And life is meaningless without you, my dear,”
Will you be mine crossing every barrier?

Very romantic theme, and 'the whisper' is too sweet! I like the lines below:
It ignores the silly fences of age,
It forgets petty fights, egos and rage!
However, in second line I prefer to replace 'forgets' by 'buries'. Rupradha, shall you prefer an evening star to morning star! I liked the poem. Love.
