Tapestry

She wove everything into the tapestry of her life
Each significant event was stitched in carefully
Selecting the right coloured skeins and design
Everyone admired her delicate work and patience
After many years of hard work she decided to stop
She believed that she’s lived her life to the fullest
There would be no more important details to sew in
Her family looked upon the near finished tapestry
With a tinge of sympathy and dollop of regret
But she assured them that she was really spot on
Her granddaughter would make the last knot
In the tapestry after she had breathed her last
She had made sure that she taught her how and
Which colour skein she should select for the job......
