Cruising and Musing

I went on a cruise
With my energetic Muse
It was a trip to savour
As she picked up every flavour
Flitting from cabin to deck
There was not a single speck
That missed her observant eye
It was as if she was playing "I spy"
She alerted me with finesse
As the Captain winked at a stewardess

With my Muse I was enjoying myself
Picking up stories of power and pelf
The journey was really fantastic
Until she became over-enthusiastic
She started exploring alley ways
An act that really marred my stay
It was a little mouse looking for scraps
Scampering round avoiding the traps
Afraid of the creature I rushed for cover
Relieved that the cruise would soon be over
