Our Tyrant

The mist has lifted we see the tyrant we
for long admired in all his naked glory.
We crow, but we feel no shame for our
craven lust for liquid gold. Although he
needed us he never chorused our song.

Now that he´s down, if not yet out, and
we  see a change to redeem ourselves by
making him an ogre, for the shame we
endured by playing he was a laudable man.
Yes, he must go forever, but we can´t say
we wish for his death. An ideal enemy, we
have no strategic interest in his local.

Rude he was, has no friends to protect him.
Despicable, he was making a fool out of us.
Yes he, and those on his side, must go now,
so we can save face and tell the world how
freedom loving we are.
