There shall be No Mismatch

DNA test with flesh, blood
or any other organic stuff
will not be enough
to prove or rule out my lineage
with Buddha, Jesus,
Prophet Mohammad, Kabir,
Nanak ji or any other sage...

If one can collect
the samples of my soul,
heart and mind
there shall be no mismatch
of any kind — my relation with them
one shall for sure find!

I belong to that land
in the dust of which
their footmarks I can discover,
I chant at each dawn the names
they have with love handed us over...
