An Ode To Love

  When my lips utter your name,
Thousand candles illumine my heart;
Lips or heart whom should I blame?
I surrender, no more can I stay apart.

When my love has made your heart melt
And brought you closer and closer to me,
Such exuberance I have never felt;
I’ve been sopping in everlasting glee.

When you wrap me in your warm arms
I think I am in the most peaceful place;
I am bowled over by your magical charm,
And my timid, covert desires blush my face.

When you brush your fingers through my hair
Flames of passion smolder my whole body,
My eyes close themselves, my cravings flare,
I get drenched in downpours of rhapsody.

When the nuances of your ardor smear my soul
With a number of vibrant dazzling shades,
In boulevards of cloud nine I happily stroll,
And at once my inner buried depression fades!

Comment @Kumarji: Thanks a lot Sir for your lovely comment. Kalbaishakhi is indeed necessary in such cases. :-) Will surely check your poem.

A very well written ode to love..the closing lines are particularly impressive

Comment True, when one is in the arms of a lover, the world belongs to her, and that is your feeling too. To drowse thw fire of passion thre need to be 'kal Baishakhi' (Northwesterlies) of love. I love your poem intertwinned by love and deep passion.
Rupradha, I have a poem 'Adam and Eve', please have a look. Love.
