Bleeding

This morning when a piece of glass
Pricked my foot and it started bleeding
You kept quiet and didn’t say a word.
Did you want to show me that you don’t care?
Or did you want to break my brittle heart
So that it starts bleeding too with my foot?

I am not shocked, I expect nothing from you,
You, who never give me time even after office,
You, who’s always busy in money-making,
You, who never come close to me ever,
You, who hardly bother to look at me,
You, who have forgotten I am your wife,
You, who give me no place in your life!

I am not shocked, I expect such things from you,
And yes, my heart is bleeding right now,
Much more than my wounded foot,
You have been able to shatter it into pieces,
And wreck it into little fragments of pain,
I ponder is getting married so much awful?
How wrong I was, thought it makes life beautiful!

(this poem is based on fictional characters)
