Walking alone in the mist
She had lost her way again
Fear soon clouded her mind
Tears welled up in her eyes
She began to wonder whether
God cared enough to just listen
To her prayers & cries for help
She had lost count of the time
The only option as she saw it
Was to continue walking ahead
In the hope that she would find
Help in the form of a kind man
A few hours later she sat down
To rest she could no longer walk
She heard a shuffle not far away
A human form approached her
Good evening Lady he did say
I am a messenger from the God
You accused of not caring for you
He instructed me to stay nearby
The grateful lady smiled at him
She questioned not his reference
To God's kind instructions and
Stood up quickly to follow him
They walked together in silence
Through the mist and the night
Until they saw semblance of light
Soon she was standing at a house
As she knocked on the huge door
She realised she was again alone
Her guide has vanished quietly
The door opened and she entered
An elderly lady welcomed her and
Taking her coat led her to a chair
As she sipped a hot cup of coffee
She remembered to thank God |
