But When...
|

When I delve into the harsh realities of life
I know it’s tough to go through such strife!
But when I close my eyes and see your face
The world seems a wonderland, full of grace!
When I walk through the roads full of thorns
I see people mocking, I sense their scorns!
But when your thoughts overflow my mind
Instead of thorns on my way, rose petals I find!
When I sail alone into the vast sea of reality
The gigantic earth shows me my triviality!
But when I look at myself through your eyes,
I feel my magnitude, my beauty, to my surprise!
When I face the tornados of the unkind humanity
Am dumbfounded by people’s meaningless vanity!
But when I think about your egoless humble heart
It makes every single moment of my life worth! |

As Kumarendra has remarked "Very sweetly scripted"; you are taking tiny steps of progression towards mature writing. All the best.

This poem, Rupradha has different layers of interpretation: to a lover or to Him, the dual meanings so common in Tagore's poems! I love to read your composition. Very sweetly scripted.
