Caroline from Carolina

I met a woman from North Carolina,
On my way from Montevideo to Atlanta.
She said she has four passports-
She was born to a British mother,
She was born in Uruguay,
She immigrated to the USA,
She had a political passport,
Her first husband was with State department.
At Buenos Aries airport,
We were standing in a queue talking,
Caroline was standing next to me.
I handed over my passport for the check-in.
The Inspector asked me,
Where is of hers pointing at her?
I simply looked at him nonchalantly,
Either of us didn’t say a word.
When we were at the boarding gate,
Caroline inquired of me,
Why did he ask for her passport?
I said I have an Indian passport,
Would you like to have one more?
