Where do you go on a color clad evening?
Trees in a canopy – burst of yellow gold
Leaves exchanging green lacy gossip
Under a sky russet hued with autumn.

Brambles brown and etched against long walls
Live wires of a thousand lyres
Resonant with muted melodies like rich red claret
Carrying bubbles on its skin.
Wily sinuous creepers with little white flowers
Waylaying you with every serpentine move!

The sea shore warm with lapping waters
Speckled pink seaweed and shell filigreed in the lilac twilight.
Against a darkening wave.
Natures preoccupations
Puts to rest the human predicament.
