Another Shrine

  Anticipation faster than cell one;
Eyes sparkling for someone,
birds chirping, bells ringing;
down the green canopy my heart’s chanting.
God receding far and above;
never knew before
if a shady olive patch down
higher and holier than heaven.
Your face, eyes, words,
and hair but a miniature of globes
lovelier than sky-full stars
sweeter than shreddies
more flowing than streams.
A shrine mingling in shrine
I’m trekking and climbing
Withal flying and sinking
O love,
bruised and choking
Make all the wonders here.
