Love like Grilled Chicken Wings

All by myself, I've made it half the way.
I long to touch the sun and catch a spark.
With so much love inside, what can I say?
I'm closer to the moon and in the dark.
Alone, I've faced this journey times before
with faith true love awaited as I flew.
I searched to find a new one to adore -
somewhere near Mars, off-course, stranded, it's true.
The sun's the light, the truth of love I seek.
All by myself, I know, I'm halfway there.
I've stared at it too long and now, I'm weak.
It's way too hot and wings will burn, that's clear.
Alone, just half the way and safe and sound.
Two wings of fire bring one to the ground.
