The Sting

  He keeps watching
Whether required or not
In every nook and corner
Invisibly visible
Unwavering vile thoughts, talk
Smile on lips a façade
Till unsuspecting victim approaches
Minding own work, unmindful of the world.
Ever alert,
Ever insecure
Fear for life vitiates the environ…
Not only traffic on road
Air too polluted
Bad breath adds
Tons of smog
Choking wind pipes.
Nature
Human nature
Never change
Cyclic movement
To mislead
The world
To lure the unsuspecting.
Nissim Ezekiel knew it well,
Mother’s suffering
Pierced a child’s spirit
Unfolding a poignant poem;
Scary sting too contributes
Unintentionally …
Positive eye finds beauty every where!
