Let it be for once at least

That your skin touches mine,

Like fire like ice.

Your face on my shoulder...

A brand new soul snuggling against a weather-beaten one
That has nowhere else to go.

Let it remain
Till it spends itself

And there is no more reason

For you to hold on and hide

The reason for your tears

But let it be for once

That you lie

And say
I need.

Let it be for once that you withhold

This eternal fact

You cry because I hold you too tight.

Let it be for once. Oh! Let it be for all.
