A Sunflower

One day I found a nice sunflower
which stands by the wayside
looking straight ahead
like a modern beauty
I saw her every day
I said hello in my mind
She was always perfect
No petal was missing
blooming in golden yellow
in the sun.

One day I found a petal was missing
Look, a lot of seeds are being made
A morning after the storm
I didn't see her
I looked around
Oh, that was her
What a miserable figure!
She bent her heavy head filled with seeds
I could scarcely see
some thin withered petals
