I Will Still Rise

Whip me with your harsh words
Or flog me with your slangs,
I will still rise into the light
Out of the darkness pangs.

Avoid me with your stillness
Deface me with your insensitivity,
I will still rise paying no heed to
The games of your deceptivity.

Kill me with your detestation
Slay me with your treason,
I will still rise out of the blues
And elope out of the prison.

Slap me with your thousand lies
Mock me with your bitter tongue,
I will still rise of the myriad wounds
And the stones that you have flung.

Daunt me with your male chauvinism
Scorn me with your arrogance,
I will still rise ignoring all of it
And shine bright in elegance!

Comment Do rise, dear friend. Do rise above the debris of human relationship that shall whip, slash, slit your sweet and loving emotions. Love.
