Flip-Flop

Marriage is nothing,
But a winding clock-
And keeps on ticking,
For thoughts to flock!

Clock tells time,
By position of hands-
Marriage shows ending,
By removed wedding bands!

Winding of spring,
Keeps clock running-
Ring without string is love,
And that's not stunning!

These are the flip-flop,
Between clock and marriage-
And I let you choose
To be timer or sage!!
